Intan did not deny that such attempts often occur in the digital business industry and claims that Bukalapak continues to improve its security mechanism which has managed to safeguard essential data, for the time being at least.

Furthermore, Bukalapak continues to remind its customers to routinely change their passwords and take extra precautions before conducting transactions. Intan also urged customers to activate two-factor authentication (TFA).

As of now, the identity of the alleged Bukalapak hacker has yet been revealed while linuxsec.org states that the hacking attempt originated from Pakistan under the code name Gnosticplayers.
