TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ma’ruf Amin, the vice presidential candidate number 01, his campaign agenda is receiving guests at his residence, Jalan Situbondo Number 12, Jakarta on Wednesday, January 3.
“Today, Abah (Ma'ruf Amin) received guests from his family and Kiai Abdullah Jaidi,” as quoted by Ma’ruf’s campaign media team, Thursday, January 3.
Since Thursday, November 29, Ma’ruf Amin’s schedule was almost only receiving guests at his residence. At the end of December, Ma’ruf had time to conduct activities outside Jakarta, such as Banten and Sukabumi. In 2019, Ma’ruf has never been out of town again.
Previously, Ma’ruf claimed to have sprained his right leg and it still has not recovered. For that, the doctor suggested that he should not go anywhere, to rest at home. Since then, Ma’ruf also seems to sit more in various events or when receiving guests at his residence.
During the campaign break, every day, Ma’ruf receives guests, volunteers and also a declaration of support at his residence.
“So, to rest is not to move, but still communicating, interacting. I can’t go there, they come here, it is the same,” said Ma'ruf.
Ma’ruf Amin’s son Ahmad Syauqi said that his father was only allowed by the doctor to conduct activities in January.
