Pertamina Secures Fuel Supply during Christmas, New Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run energy company Pertamina formed a task force specifically tasked to monitor fuel and LPG supply and distribution during 2018’s Christmas and New Year holidays. The team will start its duty on December 18, 2018, to January 7, 2019.
“We will be conducting preventive measures to maintain fuel and LPG supply which will be based on the public’s needs,” said Pertamina’s Vice President Corporate Communication Adiatma Sardjito in a written statement Tempo received yesterday, Nov. 26.

Pertamina has also set numerous supporting infrastructures comprising of tanker trucks, Pertamax (one of the company’s fuel variants) kiosks, and alternative products that include canned fuels.
According to Adiatma, Pertamina has partnered with the Indonesian Highway Traffic and Transportation Service (DLLAJR) and the Geology Agency to further monitor areas that are prone to traffic jams and landslides, road constructions, terminals, and other elements that might need to be supplied with additional fuel supplies.
