TEMPO.CO, Denpasar - An urban pop group Maliq & D`Essentials made a performance to enliven the torch relay event of 2018 Asian Para Games in Bali. “Let us have fun together,” said the vocalist Angga Puradiredja welcoming the spectators in Lapangan Niti Mandala, Denpasar, Bali on Sunday, September 16.
The music performance by Maliq & D'Essentials began in the afternoon after the torch relay held in the morning. Angga hoped the hype to greet Asian Pra Games could be further lifted. “The athletes need supports because this is their moment,” he said.
According to Angga, Maliq & D'Essentials participation in the torch relay event was a special experience. “It’s an ordinary thing for us to show in music events,” he remarked. Angga expected his group which infused elements of funk, pop, and soul could increase the excitement of Asian Para Games.
“This integration with sports event is a remarkable thing and Maliq & D'Essentials needs this opportunity,” Angga said.
Rivani Indriya Suwendi or Indah, the other vocalist, pinned hoped the public interest towards Asian Para Games would be further increased. “This is an event that will be so inspiring, the public attention will be even greater when the event takes place," she said.
In addition to Maliq & D`Essentials, Govinda and Joni Agung & Double T performed in the torch relay event of the 2018 Asian Para Games in Bali.
