TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The terrorist convict Aman Abdurrahman aka Oman Rochman alias Abu Sulaiman delivered a shocking statement about the terror bombing in Surabaya on May 13.

According to Aman, the action that caused the loss of life was a very vicious act. “The incident in Surabaya was the act of people who have mental illness,” Aman said when reading the plea at the South Jakarta District Court on Friday, May 25.

In his plea, Aman Abdurrahman admitted that he indeed disowned the police and the Indonesian government who did not implement God's law as the main law. However, he said that he had never raised a call to attack the security forces.

In addition, the suicide bombings in churches in Surabaya cannot be justified. Aman reasoned that there is no teaching to kill the infidels even though Muslims live in the infidel community such as in Indonesia.

“The Prophet never commanded the Muslims in Mecca to kill the infidels there, our condition is equal to them," Aman Abdurrahman said.
