Garuda Readies a Fleet of Jaguars, Range Rovers for First Class

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-First class passengers of Garuda Indonesia will be soon shuttled about to their destination using a fleet of Jaguar XJs and Range Rovers as they arrive in Amsterdam, London, and Jeddah, after the flag-carrier signed an agreement, which will be effective between March 1 and August 31, 2016.
"Both of these models are perfect for Garuda's premier passengers, because of their exclusive designs, comfort, and luxury," said the Chief Operating Officer of GAD, Roland Staehler in Jakarta on Friday, February 19, 2016.
Garuda Indonesia's Director for Maintenance and Information Technology, Iwan Joeniarto, said that this agreement is a part of Garuda Indonesia's commitment as a five-star airline to provide the best added values for its' customers - especially for its' premium class passengers.
The flag carrier currently offers first class flights on several routes using its' Boeing 777-300ER, namely: Jakarta-Amsterdam, Jakarta-London, Jakarta-Jeddah, and Denpasar-Narita. The aircraft is configured to carry 314 passengers with eight first class suites, 38 business class seats, and 268 economy class seats.
For the second time, Garuda Indonesia received a five-star rating for its' overall services - putting it at the top of its' class along with Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, Asiana Airlines, All Nippon Airways, and Hainan Airlines.
