TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat stated that he wanted the green open spaces (RTH) in West Jakarta to be added. Besides functioning as water infiltration area, RTH is very useful to be a place to take shelter during the dry season.
"Please find a vacant land, check its certificate and building permit, if all is complete, please submit it to Jakarta Provincial Government," told Djarot after his visit to West Jakarta Mayor Office, Tuesday (7/28).
According to Djarot, later on, all RTH will be equipped by sport facilities and adequate lighting to reduce the number of crime.
The West Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-Department Head, Djauhar Arifien, explained that in West Jakarta there are 273 RTH park of 390,514.36 square meters currently.
"Some of RTH Park are Rasa Sayang Park in Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng and Empang Grogol Park in Grogol Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan," explained Arifien.
Meanwhile, there are also 170 green lines locations of 551,564 square meters in West Jakarta.
