TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala reportedly left his country on Monday, April 20, for a week-long visit to Indonesia to attend the Asian-African Conference (AAC).
According to Nepal’s Foreign Ministry, PM Koirala will also join the conference’s summit event held in Bandung on April 24.
Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister Bamdev Gautam and senior officials were also reported to be joining the 11-member delegation. The Nepal delegation led by PM Koirala will be attending both the summit and the commemorative event held under the theme of "Strengthening South-South Cooperation to promote World Peace and Prosperity. "
“The prime minister will address the Summit on this theme,” Nepalese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tara Prasad Pokharel said on Tuesday, Apr. 21.
PM Koirala is also scheduled to attend a dinner hosted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
Koirala will also participate in the Historical Walk from the Savoy Homann Hotel to the Merdeka Building, the venue that hosted the initial Asian-African Conference in 1955.
