TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Japanese researchers have boasted in a report, as published in the Scientific Reports, that Adidas' six-panel Brazuca is far more stable than any other existing balls in the market.

The Brazuca has stood out differently compared to the other balls used in any soccer tournaments, including to to Jabulani, the last world cup's official ball. Unlike the 32-panel conventional ball, Adidas decided to narrow the number to reduce air barrier.

The first trial of it was at Euro 2008, with the Teamgeist II having only 14 panels. The Jabulani, in South Africa, stood only with eight panel.

However, Jabulani received a number of negative reviews as it was deemed to have  a peculiar design, as well as being unstable and unpredicted. Jabulani was even called as no better than a volley-ball.

In a recent experiment, the Brazuca was deemed to be the most consistent ball afloat, not swirling horizontally or vertically. With more consistent gloating ability, the Brazuca can easily hit its target with remarkable precision at high speed. However, the ball is less-friendly to players with knuckle cannon shot such Keisuke Honda and Cristiano Ronaldo for its benefits give way to lesser leverage.
