TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia claimed the investment in the Nusantara capital city or IKN will benefit business actors. According to Bahlil, IKN's investment value will continue to rise, especially with how low the land price still is.
"This is an investment of the future," he said on Wednesday.
IKN, Bahlil said, is the first green city in Indonesia with around 75 percent forest. "Only 25 percent are used to develop buildings, roads, and public facilities," he added.
Throughout 2023, the IKN Authority recorded Rp41 trillion in investment. The financing outside of the State Budget was based on 23 projects from three phases of groundbreaking.
"Out of those investors, we want to emphasize that IKN is built, initiated, and pioneered by domestic investors," said the deputy of the financing and investment department of the IKN Authority Agung Wicaksono during a virtual media briefing on Dec. 29.
The first phase of groundbreaking occurred in September, with 4 investors. The Rp23.1 trillion consisted of Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Innonparl Foundation, and Nusantara Consortium including Agung Sedayu Group, Adaro, Sinarmas, Pulau Intan, Salim Group, Astra, Mulia Group, Barito Pacific, Kawan Lama, and Alfamart.
The second phase in November with Rp13.1 trillion involved 9 investors; Hermina Hospital, Pakuwon Group, Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS), Mayapada Hospital, Astra Internasional, Transportation Ministry, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Bank Indonesia, and PLN.
Lastly, the third phase of groundbreaking in December involved Aqua, PUPR Ministry, Health Ministry, The Pakubuwono Development, Wulandari Bangun Laksanana, Balikpapan Super Block, BSH, and Bluebird. The total investment this round was Rp5.9 trillion.
