18 KPPU Candidates Undergoing Fit and Proper Test with DPR's Commission VI

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The fit and proper test for prospective members of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) for the 2023-2028 period is being held by the House of Representatives' Commission VI today and tomorrow. There are 18 candidates for KPPU members who will be asked to present their vision and mission during the test stage.

The 18 candidates are:

  1. Fanshurullah Asa
  2. Eugenia Mardanugraha
  3. Lely Pelitasari Soebekty
  4. Taufik Ariyanto Arsad
  5. Budi Joyo Santoso
  6. Mohammad Reza
  7. Deswin Nur
  8. Denies Priantinah
  9. Gopprera Panggabean
  10. Arnold Sihombing
  11. Aru Armando
  12. Hilman Pujana
  13. Moh. Noor Rofieq
  14. Yudi Hidayat
  15. Andi Zubaidah Assaf
  16. Toton Hartanto
  17. Rhido Jusmadi
  18. Gunawan Widjaja

Law 5 of 1999 on the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition states that the DPR will at least submit nine names to President Joko Widodo to be appointed as new members of the KPPU through a presidential decree.

"The KPPU asks the participation of the public, both business actors, academics, business competition observers, and others, to provide information or submit input about these candidates, as well as their track records, to Commission VI during the current fit and proper test period," KPPU chairman M Afif Hasbullah said in a written statement quoted Tuesday, November 14.
