KAI Opens Ticket Purchase for Long-distance Trip During Christmas and New Year Holidays

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia, or KAI, has prepared 3,888 long-distance trips that will operate regularly during the Christmas and New Year Holidays. The total capacity of the trips is around 2.2 million seats.
KAI VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said that his office has opened the ticket-selling period for the year-end holidays starting on November 6.
"The transport period of the Christmas and New Year Holidays set by KAI is the train departure on December 21, 2023, until January 7, 2024," Joni said in a written statement on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
The public can purchase the tickets available at all channels, such as via Access by KAI app, on kai.id website, and various official channels for KAI ticket purchase.
"We call on the customers to be thorough in inputting the date, route, and identity when making the purchase. Plan the trip well, including estimating the time to reach the station so you will not miss the train," Joni explained.
In addition to long-distance trip tickets, KAI also prepared local train trips during the year-end holidays, namely 1,296 trains with around 521,000 seats.
As for the tariff set for this holiday season, KAI remains referring to the provisions of the Lower Cap Tariff (TBB) - Upper Cap Tariff (TBA) as determined by the government.
