BMKG: Heavy Rain with Lightning to Drench Jakarta This Evening

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The weather forecast today is announced by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), forecasting Jakarta to be greeted with a cloudy sky since morning. The cloudy weather will persist throughout the day while in the evening, rain will start to pour down.
"Rain with lightning," BMKG warned, as quoted from its official website on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
The rain will potentially drench all of Jakarta to varying degrees. West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and North Jakarta are forecasted with medium rain, while a drizzle will potentially greet Seribu Islands.
On the other hand, BMKG forecasted that rain is absent in the surrounding region of Jakarta, with Bogor City as the exception.
Similar to Jakarta, Bogor City will potentially have a drizzle in the evening. Bogor City's weather in the morning will be partly cloudy and cloudy in the afternoon. Other parts of Greater Jakarta will be consistently cloudy throughout the day and in the evening.
BMKG also released an early warning for Bogor City and Bogor Regency. "Beware of the light to medium rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds that could happen in the afternoon," it announced.
