TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta coronavirus handling task force through the Health Agency provided psychological assistance services for COVID-19 patients who undergo independent isolation at home.
“Psychological assistance is provided for people in need, especially those diagnosed with COVID-19 who are undergoing self-isolation treatment at their home,” Jakarta Head Agency head Widyastuti said in an online press conference at the City Hall, Monday, April 20.
Widyastuti said the psychological support services were a collaboration program with Jakarta's clinical psychology association.
She added the program, which was in line with the health mental program, had been afoot since March 24, 2020.
She mentioned that currently a total of 752 COVID-19 patients were undergoing self-isolation and 1,824 others hospitalized.
Widyastuti further mentioned that Jakarta now has 3,112 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 237 recoveries and 297 deaths from the disease. She further reminded people to maintain a healthy lifestyle, refrain from doing outdoor activities, and adhere to the large-scale social restrictions or PSBB order.
