TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially introduced 16 agencies that are responsible for distributing the one-price fuel at the Pertamina gas station in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Friday, December 29.
The President said that it is part of the government’s official attempts to realize society’s fair energy distribution program in outer regions.
He stated that this program needs to be monitored by all of the parties involved, including the regional government, central government, and stakeholders.
The 16 distributors of the one-price fuel program are spread across numerous regions. Papua and West Papua have four distribution spots, one location is in North Maluku, five spots are in Kalimantan, one spot in Sulawesi, one spot in East Java, and four spots in the Riau Islands.
The official announcement was marked with the government’s achievement in establishing one-price fuel distributors in 54 locations that were able to be realized by Pertamina in 2017.
Pertamina will follow this up next year by establishing yet another 50 distribution locations.
