Whoosh Offers Free Entry to Tourist Destinations in Greater Bandung

30 October 2023 09:34 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -  PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China or PT KCIC offers a promo in the form of free entry to several tourist destinations using Whoosh High-Speed Train tickets. These promos include free entry to Bamboo Village, Farmhouse, Floating Market in Lembang, and the Great Asia-Africa.

President Director of PT KCIC Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi stated that the public is appreciative of this promo. According to Edo, Dwiyana's nickname, this was proven by the number of people utilizing this promo to visit popular tourist destinations in Greater Bandung.

"Since Whoosh began operation and the tourist destination promo was released, more than 2,500 passengers enjoyed the promo," Edo wrote in a statement on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

To obtain this promo, people are required to show their Whoosh tickets to officers at tourist destinations that cooperate with Whoosh. One ticket is intended for one person.

The tourism tickets are available for use until D+15 after the ticket holder's Whoosh scheduled trip. The promo will be available until October 2024. For further information, contact the customer service for KCIC at Whoosh's stations, send an e-mail to cs@kcic.co.id, call at 121, go through the kcic.co.id website, and contact KCIC's social media at Kereta Cepat ID.

According to Edo, the cooperation with these tourist destinations is indirectly improving the number of tourists visiting Bandung and its surrounding areas. Tourists are one of the main targets of Whoosh High-Speed Train. "This is one of the proofs the Whoosh High-Speed Train is not only helping with public mobility but also impacted the economy and tourism," Edo said.

Whoosh's passengers also vary in terms of their period of stay in Bandung. While some are visiting on one-day trips, others are improving Bandung's hotel occupancy rate since they are staying the night in Bandung. Restaurants, cafes, and culinary tourism also thrive with the arrival of Whoosh, for many passengers boarded the train with souvenirs in their hands.

Additionally, PT KCIC is also willing to collaborate with other parties to improve Whoosh's service and boost local tourism. Whoosh, Edo said, is not only intended to reduce air pollution and traffic congestion.
