Whoosh train Urges Passengers Ready 30-minutes Before Departure

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Whoosh High-Speed Train's passengers are urged to arrive at the station 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure. "This policy will ensure the safety and security of passengers during their trips with Whoosh while at the station or on board the train," said General Manager Corporate Secretary of PT KCIC Eva Chairunisa in a written statement on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

According to Eva, the policy has considered the size of the stations and the distance from the second-floor gate to the platforms on the third floor of the station. It will be risky to run or walk at a brisk pace at the station, she added.

PT KCIC is committed to ensuring that Whoosh is always on schedule, with targeted precision of up to 100 percent. "Through this policy, Whoosh High-Speed Train are urged to arrive at the station 30 minutes before scheduled departure to avoid missing the train," she said.

Meanwhile, at the station, passengers are expected to go through a series of processes before boarding the train. For passengers who have purchased the tickets online through the Whoosh application, the ticket.kcic.co.id website, or other official sites are not required to print out their tickets. The boarding process could be conducted through a QR Code.

For those who miss their trains, there is no return policy in place. 

"All Whoosh stations have been completed with comfortable and spacious waiting rooms. The passengers are also welcome to wait at the culinary area," Eva said.
