TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned construction company PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (IDX: ADHI) completed the construction of the LRT Jabodebek with a track that spans 44 kilometers. The LRT was inaugurated directly by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
Adhi Karya president director Entus Asnawi said in an official statement on August 28 that the company played a role in building a network consisting of 3 corridors, namely Harjamukti (Cibubur) - Cawang, Jatimulya (East Bekasi) - Cawang, and Cawang - Dukuh Atas, with a total 18 stations.
He said that LRT Jabodebek rail track's structure was designed using U-shaped girder technology, which has the advantage of being able to dampen noise and withstand earthquake vibrations, thus having a slim shape to maintain the aesthetics of urban areas.
The LRT Jabodebek operates without a driver using Grade of Automation (GoA) 3 technology which is controlled through the OCC or Operation Control Center.
Entus said the project has been the company's best work—carried out together with several SOEs as well as the Transportation Ministry, the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry, and the SOE Ministry. The work they put into the project has resulted in the birth of an efficient and environmentally-friendly urban rail infrastructure.
Currently, Adhi Karya is working on two other rail transportation megaprojects, namely the MRT Jakarta CP 201 worth Rp4.0 trillion and the CP 202 worth Rp2.8 trillion.
Not only nationally, overseas Adhy Karya is trusted to build train facilities in Manila City, Philippines with a total contract value for Adhi Karya's portion of Rp3.7 trillion.
