TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One of Indonesia’s popular beers, Bali Hai, has entered the Far East Russian market in Primorsky Krai. The beer is reportedly available in 90 percent of stores in Vladivostok and also in Moscow.
The First Secretary of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, Enjoy Diana, delivered the news on Monday, December 10, during the visit of M Wahid Supriyadi, the Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

According to Trade Group Director General Valentin Ushakov, who imported the product since December 2017, Bali Hai has a large potential market in the Russia Far East region.
Since the arrival of the first batch of imports on February 2018, his company has imported 30 containers worth US Dollar 400,000-450,000 and now has shown interest to import more products from Indonesia.

“I intend to import other Indonesian products, such as cooking oil and instant coffee,” said Valentin Ushakov. Valentin added he planned on importing around 100 containers worth USD 1.5 milliion in 2019. Other items that are planned to be imported to Russia include palm oil products, coffee, instant noodle, and paper products.
