TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Home Affairs Ministry's Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration has confirmed that the recent findings of a bag full of electronic ID (e-KTP) blanks and blanks that were sold freely by third parties will not affect the 2019 general election voters list.
“It will not affect the data for the general elections and legislative elections,” said Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, the Director General of Population and Civil Registration on Monday, December 10.
Zudan's confidence is based on the fact that the voter list for the elections is the potential voter list known as the DP4, which will not be affected by the blanks.

“The data is safe, none has been breached,” Zudan said.
Recent reports said that a bag full of e-KTP blanks ready for distribution was found at a deserted field in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Saturday, December 8. In total, the bag contained 1,706 e-KTP cards. It was also found that e-KTP cards have been sold through the e-commerce platform while they should not have been sold freely.
