TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After rumors that Nokia will launch a phone with five cameras, reports are now saying that LG is making a smartphone with 16 cameras.
Phone Arena reported on November 25 that LG had patented the product at the About 34,600,000 results (0.57 seconds) United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) early last week as discovered by LetsGoDigital. The patent is said to be that of a smartphone with a main camera setup that consists of 16 lenses with varying focal lengths and characteristics.
Seeing how today's smartphones can capture hundreds of images in seconds, it is not impossible that LG can actually materialize its vision in the near future.
LG is known for its experiments in smartphone cameras, with its wide-angle shooter trademark. It's fair to assume that LG will seek to add more cameras to its phone models.
