Prabowo`s Campaign in Social Media Considered Unplanned

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Social media expert and Drone Emprit application developer, Ismail Fahmi, said the camp of Prabowo - Sandiaga Uno was lost to the camp of Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin about managing presidential election campaign on social media. He considered the Prabowo’s campaign on social media was unplanned.
“The best, planned, and structured is the candidate pair number 01 (Jokowi-Ma’ruf). The candidate pair number 02 (Prabowo-Sandi) is natural and less,” said Ismail when he was met after a discussion on “Hot in Social Media, Cold in Ballot Box” at Le Meridien Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 14.
The indication, he said, was seen when each camp tried to make viral a content on social media. He pointed out that the content brought by the candidate pair number 01 quickly became a trending topic on Twitter rather than the opponent.
“The candidate pair number 01 can be trending topic in one hour, the candidate pair number 02 takes four hours,” he said.
But the candidate pair number 01 can be superior because it is influenced by the use of robotic accounts that simultaneously make viral a content. Meanwhile, the candidate pair number 02 tends to be natural.
“The candidate pair number 02, when there is an issue, it takes a long time, as soon as it starts to rise, they ask for help from their friends,” he said.
