TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto, asked the public to hand over the case of the Tawheed flag burning that occurred in Garut to the police.

"Just wait for the investigation, do not make your own legal argument," Wiranto said at the State Secretariat in Jakarta on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

The police have arrested three suspected perpetrators who are members of the Ansor Multipurpose Front (Banser) of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). The police are also hunting the flag owner and the video uploader.

Wiranto asked the community not to worsen the situation by holding a rally and resorted to a more peaceful way. "Finish [the case] using legal methods, not by holding a rally, fighting and anger," Wiranto said.
