TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi wished a happy birthday to the General Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, through his official social media accounts.

“I congratulate my best friend Pak Prabowo Subianto, who celebrated his 67th birthday today,” said Jokowi on his Instagram account, Wednesday, October 17.

Jokowi uploaded a photo when he and Prabowo met at the Pencak Silat Hermitage when they watched the final match at the 2018 Asian Games.

When Jokowi ran for the 2012 Jakarta Governor Election, the Gerindra Party became his bearer. But in the 2014 presidential election, Jokowi and Prabowo competed.

In the 2019 presidential election, both will be back in competition. Jokowi paired with Ma'ruf Amin and Prabowo with Sandiaga Uno.
