TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) sealed a number of rooms at the Public Works Office and the Bekasi Regency Government Spatial Planning building. It is still unknown what the anti-graft body is investigating.
The Bekasi Regency spokesman Ramdhan Nurul Ihsan confirmed the sealing by KPK. "We received information that it is true," he said on Monday, October 15.
Ramdhan said that KPK investigators sealed the rooms on Sunday afternoon, October 14. He did not know for sure which rooms had been sealed, including if one of them was the office chief's.
Paiman, a security officer at the Bekasi Regency government office, said three KPK investigators came at 13:00 local time, showing a letter bearing the KPK logo.
"They were here for only 1.5 hours. After placing the seal lines, they left. I don't know what they took, "he said.
Separately, KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said there was a sting operation (OTT) at the Bekasi Regency. He said ten people from the regency's office and government officials were arrested. "We cannot reveal the names yet," Febri said on Monday, October 15.
