Pertamina Sends 4,000 Liters of Diesel Fuel to Palu Quake Victims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned energy holding company Pertamina’s unit manager for communications and CSR marketing operations of region IV, Roby Hervindo, said the company had sent diesel fuel for victims of the Palu earthquake in Central Sulawesi. The diesel fuel is sent by air using an Air Tractor airliner from Juwata Airport in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
“The AT802 aircraft is carrying 4,000 liters of diesel fuel to support the operations of relief efforts following the earthquake and the tsunami that struck Palu and Donggala,” Roby said in a written statement on Monday, October 1, 2018.

The airplane, which is operated by PT Pelita Air Service and piloted by Capt. Benjamin, departed this morning at 06:45 local time from Tarakan and landed at Mutiara SIS Al-Jufrie Airport in Palu at 09:05 local time.
Roby said the diesel fuel would also be used to support the operations of hospitals, including the Undata Palu Hospital, to which some quake victims had been admitted, to keep their gensets running.
