TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD) asserted it had dismissed 27 civil servants named as suspects of corruption by the court throughout 2017-2018.
“As many as 27 civil servants are dishonorably discharged because of corruption cases and three others are currently being processed,” said Jakarta BKD acting head Budihastuti Tuesday, September 18.
According to Budihastuti, the agency is currently waiting for the issuance of dismissal letter from Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for the three civil servants. “The letter has not yet ready,” said Budihastuti.
The civil servants involving in graft case would be discharged after the court issued inkracht (a final and binding court ruling), she added. If the employee filed an appeal, the work termination would be postponed.
“If the inkracht is not yet issued, PNS will be temporarily discharged,” said Budihastuti. As of today, as many as 21 civil servants were temporarily discharged over allegedly involved in corruption cases.
“Their salary is cut up to 50 percent,” she added.
Budihastuti delivered the statement in response to the allegation made by the National Employment Agency (BKN) official I Nyoman Arsa, who said a total of 52 corrupt civil servants were actively working in the capital city. The figure was the highest when compared to other regional administration in Indonesia.
