TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - MSI (Micro Star International), a global gaming brand, said that it would continue to facilitate various activities for the Indonesian eSports team.
"We see that the development of eSports in Indonesia is getting better and is recognized by many industries, not just the computer and gaming industry," MSI Marketing Channel Department Trisha Chuang said on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
One of the oldest eSports teams in Indonesia is NXL (Next Level). The athletes for MSI are loyal consumers of high-quality and high-tech gaming products.
Indonesia had won gold and silver medals from the eSports event through Ridel Isaiah Sumarandak and Hendry Jothtree Handidurya in the 2018 Asian Games. However, it did not affect the overall standings because of the eSports event was held as an exhibition event.
"MSI is proud of the achievements by the two gamers who have made Indonesia famous in the eSports at the 2018 Asian Games, with gold medals through Clash Royale and silver medals in the Heartstone game competition," Chuang said.
The eSports is expected to become a real competition at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan and the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
