TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto denied the statement said by the former member of the House`s (DPR) Energy Commission, Eni Saragih, who said there was an order from the party leader about the money for the Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub).
“First, of course, Golkar Party is clean. Second, there is no such order. And the Munaslub's results, both from the OC chairman and chairman of the organizing committee, are clear,” he said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, August 30.
Previously, Eni Saragih, who is a suspect in Riau-1 PLTU (Steam Power Plant) bribery case, said that the money she received was related to the leader of the Golkar Party. But Eni did not mention the name who ordered her to receive the money.
“I’m the treasurer of the extraordinary national conference (Munaslub). I certainly received an order,” she said after being questioned by the KPK on Wednesday, 29 August.
Airlangga Hartarto also explained about several Golkar party administrators who had resigned. He denied that they did it because of the funding flow mentioned by Eni and instead said that it was based on the regulation of the General Election Commision (KPU).
"Those who register in the Regional Representative Council (DPD), must resign,” he said.
