TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several regional administrations across Indonesia have sent numerous humanity aids for the victims of the disastrous earthquake that struck Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Regions such as the Sidoarjo District in East Java have sent food supplies, medicines, and 12 doctors as medical volunteers.
Sidoarjo Regent Saiful Ilah said that the humanitarian aids were collected from joint efforts of the government, Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), and the Sidoarjo Bank Jatim.
“The humanitarian assistance will be directly handed to the official committees as soon as it lands in Lombok,” he said upon monitoring the departure of the assistance in Sidoarjo. Saiful said that the humanitarian aid is expected to arrive in Lombok this Saturday or Sunday.

Head of the Sidoarjo Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Dwijo Prawito said that the humanitarian aid post in Sidoarjo opened since August 13 has accommodated the numerous donations from the public.
“We managed to collect donations up to Rp310 millions in a week,” said Dwijo.
The West Java Provincial Government also donated Rp2 billion for the victims of Lombok earthquake corroborating to the request from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) administration. The City of Surabaya together with PT Wings Surya sent logistical assistance, doctors, and psychologists yesterday.
