TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - – Democrat executive Agus "AHY" Harimurti Yudhoyono said he wanted to work together with Indonesian youngsters to jack up the quality of the country's human resources. He said he was intent on pursuing his goals to establish "golden Indonesia" by 2045.
AHY said he made the plans after learning that the young people he met often touched on the problems besetting the quality of Indonesia's human resources.
“The most often I hear is that [the youths] yearn to be competitive,” AHY said at the Joang Building in Menteng, Central Jakarta today.

AHY explained that competitiveness of youngsters must be elevated, especially since Indonesia is bound to face a demographic bonus between 2020 to 2030, where the number of productive-age citizens would peak.
“Hopefully by preparing them and improving our human resources, [we] will prepare them for global competitions,” said AHY.
AHY added he would continue mingling with youngsters to build their spirits and unite their energy so as to clinch the support from this specific demography. He hoped the declaration of support by Cakra AHY would spread across the nation.
