KPK Nab Sukamiskin Prison Head: Husband of Inneke Koesherawati

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK officially arrested the Head of Sukamiskin Penitentiary Wahid Husein, husband of former actress Inneke Koesherawati, Fahmi Darmawansyah, and two other suspects in the case of alleged gift giving or promise related to the prisoner's facility in Sukamiskin.
“Four suspects were arrested for the first 20 days,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah, Saturday, 21 July.
Besides Wahid who allegedly took the bribe and Fahmi who suspected of being the bribe giver, the other two suspects are Andi Rahmat, a special criminal prisoner, and Hendry Saputra, Wahid’s staff at the Sukamiskin Penitentiary.
Febri said Wahid was arrested in KPK detention center, Fahmi in Central Jakarta Police Station, while Adry in East Jakarta Police and Hendry at KPK Guntur.
KPK Deputy Chairman Saut Situmorang said in this case, KPK suspected Fahmi gave money and one car to Wahid as a bribe to get room facilities and permission for Fahmi as a prisoner.
The facility was revealed when KPK searched Fahmi’s room, based on KPK investigator’s record, Fahmi’s room was equipped with air conditioning, television, and refrigerator.
Saut said KPK investigators seized cash worth Rp279 million and US$1,140. KPK investigators also seized documents of purchase and receipt of cars along with two cars given to Wahid Husein.
