TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian said the terrorist who broke through and threw a pressure-cooker bomb at the Indramayu police station was a member of the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) terrorist group.
“The case in Indramayu was done by (a member) of JAD,” said Tito at the police's Mobile Brigade headquarters (Mako Brimob), Kelapa Dua on Monday, July 16.
According to Tito, the several acts of terror, such as the attack in Indramayu and the recent shootout in Yogyakarta is an opportunity for the police to nab terrorists and trace the involvement of other groups.

“They committed the crime, it is an open the door for us, but we were only able to keep an eye on [the perpetrator's movements]. But when they violated the law, we had a reason to arrest the perpetrators and uncover the perpetrators' network,” Tito said.
The incident at the Indramayu police station occurred on Sunday morning, when two men broke through the police station and threw the pressure-cooker bomb. On Saturday, July 14, on Jalan Kali Urang, Yogyakarta, the police's anti-terror squad Densus 88 was involved in a shootout with three suspected terrorists. The men are allegedly linked to terrorist networks in Mlati, Sleman; and Pleret and Mrisi, Bantul, on Wednesday, July 11.
Tito said the police had also secured the map of terrorist networks in the country and ordered Densus 88 to aggresively hunt down the terrorists.
