TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The arrest of the suspected terrorist Suryono (41), by the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 anti-terror unit team made the neighbors left wondering.

However, in a search inside the house of the suspected terrorist who served as a security officer in Bendungan Hilir area, Densus 88 team found a number of evidence similar to firearms such as long barrel rifles, arrows, mortar, and others.

According to Suryono’s neighbor, Sari Hati (28), the long-barreled rifles and arrows have been owned by Suryono.

“I thought it was just a toy weapon because the weapon was put on top of his closet,” Sari said, on Tuesday, July 10.

After arresting Suryono, the police searched his rented house, sized 5x4 meters in Sukamulya area, where he lives with his wife and two children.

Sari said she often went to Suryono's house. Moreover, Sari and Suryono’s wife, Yuni Apriani, befriended because of the distance to their house which is only 5 meters away.

According to her, Suryono has collected objects such as long-barreled rifles and arrows. “But until now, I do not know whether that is genuine or fake,” Sari said.

Sari did not believe that Suryono involved in the terrorist network. Moreover, as long as neighboring with Suryono and his wife, there were no suspicious signs.

“I couldn't even thought the idea that Suryono is a member of a terrorist organization,” she said.
