TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Hengki Haryadi said the police was currently investigating a criminal case involving presidential expert staff Armedya Dewangga who was robbed on June 8. The perpetrators lured out Armedya from his car saying his flat tires.

“We’re conducting an investigation until now. We’ve taken actions long before the news made rounds on media,” Hengki said in a press conference at West Jakarta Police headquarter, on Thursday, July 5.

Hengki explained Armedya initially filed a lost report to Tamansari Resort Police which was difficult for the police to take a further examination.

However, Tamansari Resort Police initiated to form Police Report Model A following examination at the crime scene. “So, we asserted that without demands we’ve taken actions,” Hengki underlined.

The presidential staff in the field of management studies and strategic economic issues lost Macbook ME294, Rp3.3 million in cash, and hard drives containing some secret state documents, as he told Tempo

Armedya demanded the police to arrest the robbers because of his important documents. Since he revealed the case on Wednesday, July 4, the perpetrators have not found yet along with the documents.

Meanwhile, Jokowi`s Presidential Staff office appreciated and supported the police investigation. Earlier, the office refuted that the state documents were also missing.
