TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II (AP II) invested some Rp80 billion to set up a building of Airport Learning Academy. The three-story building will be the education and training center of aviation which targeted to operational in March 2019.
“Rp80 billion is for the building construction,” said AP II president director Muhammad Awaluddin today during the groundbreaking ceremony at Airport Construction Division Soekarno-Hatta.
Awaluddin said AP II will synergize with several Indonesian leading universities such as UGM, ITB, and UNPAD. “AP II also encourages the employee to learn in abroad,” he said.
The Airport Learning Academy was established in 2017. As many as 36 employees selected from 15 branch offices were listed in the class of 2018. They will be sent to Padjajaran University, Bandung.
AP II’s Airport Construction Division executive general manager Agung Sedayu stated the construction will be under PT Nindya Karya. “It will be operated in March,” Agung said.
AP II Airport Learning Center will be an area of 6,000-meter square consisted of three floors, a parking area, multipurpose room, classrooms, and laboratory.
