As many as 8,000 visas were issued per day on average thus far. Nasrullah expected all visas will be completely ready in the next two weeks.
According to him, regional religious affairs had submitted 170,652 passports for regular hajj to Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah and 161,700 of them had been verified for visa issuance.
The visa for hajj remains a vital issue for prospective pilgrims who are ready to depart to Mecca this year considering it is a requirement document aside from passport.
The first group of all hajj embarkations will start to depart on July 17, 2018. “We are working on it and optimistic the visa will be ready on target so there will be no visa delays,” said Nasrullah.
