TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chairman of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY said the quick count results of 2018 regional head election did not miss his party’s target.
“The temporary calculation was more [from target], it means on target,” said SBY at the Democratic Party's DPP office, Wisma Proklamasi, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, June 27.
SBY also monitored the quick count of the simultaneous regional head elections today. Along with the quick count results, SBY called a number of regional head candidates who proposed by the Democratic Party. Both are the East Java governor candidate Khofifah Indar Parawansa and North Sumatra governor candidate Edy Rahmayadi.
Despite exceeding the target victory, continued SBY, his party will not be satisfied with the achievements of quantitative only. He said later the party would analyze and map out the results further.

“We will see the strategic aspect of all these things, which province and what position does the Democratic Party have,” said the former 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia.
He continued that the Democratic Party will not blame anyone for the defeat that was borne out in this election. He said the party will examine the cause of the defeat of the candidate that was proposed.
“For example West Java, very different from the previous survey, what's going on?” he said.
The Democrat Party proposed the pair of Deddy Mizwar-Dedi Mulyadi in West Java governor election. Referring to Charta Politika's quick count results, the pair went into the third place with 24,96 percent of the vote.
The DM duo was not superior compared to the pair of Sudrajat-Ahmad Syaikhu who went to the second position with 30,12 percent of the vote. In fact, the results of a number of previous survey institutions always put the DM duo in the second position or at first, chasing the electability of Ridwan Kamil-Uu Rizhanul Ulum.
SBY and DPP officials have not elaborated the recapitulation of the Democratic Party's version of quick count results. SBY said the party will still follow the quick count until tonight.
SBY promised to immediately provide a comprehensive explanation of the results of this simultaneous regional head election. He said the explanation will be delivered tomorrow or the day after.
“Then, which we can make capital for the upcoming 2019 election, both elections and the presidential election,” said SBY, after knowing the results of the quick count.
