TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State toll road operator Jasa Marga Jagorawi (Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi) chapter said the traffic density heading to Puncak area started to occur at KM 45 and KM 43 of Ciawi toll three days after Eid al-Fitr Day.
"A long queue, expected to be two kilometers, occurred after Gadok intersection," said Jasa Marga public relation official Ryan in Cibinong, Monday, June 18.
According to Ryan, the traffic density of return flow has yet to occur since people are traveling in Puncak area in Bogor.
The vehicles have been lining up Ciawi toll road for about one kilometer since 6 am as a result of vehicles flocking the Gadog and Ciawi toll gates.
The speed of the vehicles is expected to be around 19-30 kilometer-per-hour but the contraflow policy has yet to be implemented.
Ryan suggested toll road users stock food supply on their vehicles and not litter to keep the cleanliness. He added that travelers could go through Sentul to avoid traffic congestion.
Bogor Traffic Police Chief Hasby Ristama explained that the traffic congestion in Gadog and Ciawi heading to Puncak area is often occur during Eid al-Fitr holidays.
