TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - House of Representatives (DPR) speaker Bambang Soesatyo admitted to knowing e-KTP bribery scandal suspect Irvanto Hendra Pambudi, who is the nephew of his predecessor, Setya Novanto. However, Bambang said he was not acquainted with the other suspect, Made Oka Masagung.
"I dont know Made Oka at all. I know Irvanto. Aside from being Setya Novanto's nephew, he is also a Golkar Party member," Bambang said after being questioned at the KPK building, Friday, June 8.
Bambang came to the KPK building for questioning after failing to attend the previous summons on June 4. The Golkar politician was questioned as a witness for e-KTP suspects Made Oka Masagung and Irvanto Hendra Pambudi Cahyo.
Bambang said during the questioning the KPK was cross-checking information regarding the Rp50 million funds suspected to be the kickback from the e-KTP procurement project.

The KPK suspected the funds were allocated to an event in Central Java, and the antigraft body had questioned a number of Golkar cadres about it. The suspicion arose when the KPK investigated Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo, the president director of Quadra Solution, who has also been named a suspect in the same case.
The KPK suspected there was money given to Andi Agustinus a.k.a. Andi Narogong, who had been sentenced to 11 years in prison, to fund the programs of Golkar's Central Java branch.
Bambang Soesatyo claimed he had no knowledge of the alleged fund transfer, because it supposedly happened in May 2012 when he was the DPR's Commission III member.
He also said that he did not know about the Golkar activities in question, adding that at the Central Java DPRD, funds are usually not transfered via banks and given directly in cash instead.
