TEMPO.CO, Taipei - US-based telecommunication company Qualcomm has announced its new chipset Snapdragon 850 Mobile Compute Platform to support Windows 10 PC during 2018 Computex in Taipei, Taiwan.
“Building on the portfolio of Always On, Always Connected PCs established over the past year, we are thrilled to work with Samsung to help offer consumers true mobility combined with the productivity and entertainment features of Windows 10,” said Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager, mobile business unit, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in a written statement received by Tempo on June 5.
Qualcomm synergized with Samsung to complete the chipset that paired with Snapdragon X20 and Qualcomm AI Engine. Snapdragon 850 is designed to support smartphone features eyeing by PC users and that always connected to LTE network or Wi-Fi.
Thus, users will receive the virtual notification while on a journey. The platform claimed able to save the power by 30 percent that three times higher than its successor, the LTE speeds up to 1.2 Gbps, and will last for 25 hours of untethered uptime.

Snapdragon 850 is designed with the 10-nanometer fabrication process that is sleeker and portable as well as has higher mobility compared to the previous 14-nanometer process.
In addition, the new features on Snapdragon 850 support Artificial Intelligence experience inside the device for the camera, sound, and battery life.
Snapdragon 850 graphic will be more sophisticated. High-quality audio is also designed to maximize the entertainment such as videos, taking photos, and other activities in Windows 10 PC.
