TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Health will provide one health checkpoint during the Eid`s homecoming period at 84 bus terminals all over Indonesia to check the health condition of bus drivers before departure.
“We have prepared the health checkpoints for bus drivers in 84 terminals,” said Health Minister Nila Moeloek on Tuesday, June 5.
Nila said, in the checkpoints, the bus drivers will be interviewed about the history of their diseases. After that, a physical examination will be conducted to check the condition of the drivers’ body.
In addition, the levels of sugar and alcohol in the body will be checked as well. It includes a urine test to check the narcotic substance. “The level of sugar, alcohol and drugs will be checked,” said the minister.

Nila said the check is preferred for bus drivers who will travel long distances or trips that take four hours or more.
For the homecoming and the return flow of Eid holiday this year, Ministry of Health provides 3,910 health service posts. The post will stand by from D-10 to D+10.
The 3,910 posts consist of 923 health posts, 2,231 health centers, 375 hospitals, 207 health offices and 174 public safety centers. Nila mentioned the service posts are alerted along the homecoming and return flow.
Nila reminds the homecomers to rest for 15 minutes every 2 hours for the motorists, and 15 minutes for every 4 hours for car drivers.
“The government's target for the homecoming this year is to have zero accident, we expect it to be achieved,” he said.
