TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Director of Information Technology Commercial of PT Indonesian Railway Company (KAI) Apriyono Wedi Chresnanto confirmed tickets for Eid homecoming holiday 2018 is only 38 percents left.

“Tickets for four days before the Eid has been sold out. But the five days and the previous day before is only 38 percents left now,” Apriyono said when contacted at Bandung station, Bandung City, on Monday, May 28, 2018.

Apriyono advised travelers to go home earlier in order to avoid traffics especially after the government added one extra Eid holiday day. Travelers now can do the homecoming tradition earlier.

“We hope because of the long holiday, they can travel earlier. Nine or ten days before the Eid,” he said.

KAI also gives free tickets for travelers. From 1,520 tickets provided, only 30 percents left.

“There are still 404 free tickets. Just sign up for free tickets on KAI’s website. The route is Jakarta to the east. It is not difficult to do, really," he said.
