TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said the salary of the Agency for the Implementation of State Ideology of Pancasila (BPIP) officials is not requested by the government.

The number is the result from calculation and analysis from the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, as he said when closing the Study of Ramadhan Event at Central Muhammadiyah in Uhamka University, Ciracas, Jakarta on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

Jokowi explained the salary earned by BPIP already includes job allowance and insurance. To get further information, he proposed to invite the mass media to ask directly to Financial Minister Sri Mulyani and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Asman Abnur.

"I thought it was from calculations, please ask the Ministry of Finance about it, and for the positions analysis please ask the Ministry of PAN," he said.

According to Jokowi, he agreed to sign the Presidential Decree (Perpres) No. 42 of 2018 on financial and facility rights for BPIP officials because it has been calculated carefully by the related ministries.

In the Perpes, the salary of the head of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Megawati Sukarnoputri who is also the head of steering committee of BPIP is estimated to Rp 112 million per month.

Other steering committee consisting of Try Sutrisno, Ahmad Syafii Maarif, Said Aqil Siroj, Ma'ruf Amin, Mahfud MD, Sudhamek, Andreas Anangguru Yewangoe, and Wisnu Bawa Tenaya will get Rp 100.8 million per month for each. The Head of BPIP Yudi Latif will get Rp 76.5 million per month for his salary.
