TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG)’s Head of Climate Analysis and Information, Adi Ripaldi, stated the weather in Jakarta and surrounding areas this week will be uncertain, sometimes sunny, cloudy, and raining.
BMKG forecasted, Adi said, the condition will last until the middle of Ramadan or the end of May 2018. The uncertain weather is considered normal due to the transition period from rainy to dry season these days. “Transition period is marked by hot sunny weather or hard rainfall,” said Adi via a short message today.
Adi explained during the transition period, the air tends to be dry thus the weather will likely hot. But, the sea temperature remains warm so that the rain will possibly fall in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Java.
“The rain may fall in the afternoon or evening,” Adi added.
Based on BMKG data, the rain intensity would be less ahead of June 2018 as the dry season will start in Java Island.
