Citilink to Serve Flight from Surabaya to Kertajati Airport

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Citilink Indonesia will serve flight to West Java International Airport (BIJB) or Kertajati Airport from Surabaya on June 8.

Vice President Corporate Secretary and CSR of Citilink Indonesia Ranty A. Rachman said the flight route aims to provide an option of destinations and facilitate the access to air transportation for passengers living in the eastern area of West Java and western area of Central Java during the Eid holiday season.

“The Citilink Indonesia's flight with Kertajati-Surabaya route will start on June 8, by an Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers," Ranty said in a press release on Thursday, May 24.

Ranty said that the route is an extra during the peak season of 2018 Eid holiday. However, the management will continue to see the future prospect for adding new flights, frequencies, and routes from Kertajati.

The Surabaya-Kertajati flight route by Citilink Indonesia with flight number QG 9820 from Juanda airport, Surabaya is scheduled to depart at 05:25 am and arrived in Kertajati at 06:55 am every day.

Meanwhile, the return flight with number QG 9821 is scheduled to depart at 07:25 am and arrived in Surabaya at 08:55 am.

Citilink Indonesia is the first airline to get permission from the Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation to operate at Kertajati Airport.
