Jakarta Transport Agency to Close Mampang Intersection Tonight

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Agency will close several intersections in Mampang area, South Jakarta, on Friday, May 18, at 10 pm. The deputy head Sigit Wijatmoko said the closure will take place due to the construction of Antasari Intersection.

“The closure trial of intersection in Jl. Mampang Prapatan will be gradually implemented,” said Sigit when contacted by Tempo today.

The road closure will take effect on late Friday, May 18, until undetermined time limit. Jakarta Transportation Agency applies the closure following the opening of Mampang-Kuningan underpass.

There will be three traffic engineerings; first, it will be applied in an intersection of Jl. Mampang Prapatan Raya, Jl. Mampang Prapatan 7, and Jl. Mampang Prapatan 8; second, in Jl. Mampang Prapatan Raya, Jl. Duren Tiga Raya, and Jl. Kemang Utara 9; and the last is at the intersection of Jl. Mampang Prapatan Raya, Jl. Duren Bangka, and Jl. Duren Tiga Selatan.

In addition, public transportation such as Kopaja 57 bus with a route of Blok M-Kp. Rambutan is urged to adjust its way with the route changes that have been set.

Furthermore, Sigit called on the public to follow the traffic signs. “We appealed the road users to adjust the traffic and remember the safety first,” said the deputy head of Jakarta Transportation Agency.
