TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned gas and oil company Pertamina will add more facilities to distribute the oil fuel during 2018 Eid homecoming. Pertamina`s acting President Director Nicke Widyawati estimated there will be an 11-13 percent increase of home-comers using the land transportation. The company also considered expanding the toll road to around 1,100 kilometers to be fully operated.
“So we will provide mobile gas stations,” said Nicke in a press conference in the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) building, Tendean, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, May 16.
Pertamina expected the people using motorcycle to travel their way hometown will increase up to 7.67 million home-comers, compared to last year at 6.8 million people. Meanwhile, the home-comers using the four-wheeled car will be at 3.46 million from 3.1 million people in last year’s data.

In a bid to prevent the difficulties to find the gas fuel, Pertamina planned to place 60 mobile gas stations called Kiosk Pertamax in several locations along the homecoming lane of Sumatra and Java, selling packaged Pertamax and Dex fuels.
In addition, Pertamina will also deploy 200 mobile officers to deliver the gas in the package to the customers. Kiosk Pertamax and mobile officers will start operating on June 8-21.
“If the home-comers stuck in a traffic and far from the gas station, they could contact [Pertamina] and order the gas service via motorcycle,” Nicke explained.
This year, BPH Migas that is appointed as the national coordinator and Pertamina as the executor, have collaborated to fulfill the fuel needs for home-comers by opening Lebaran posts and also coordinate with the coordinator of national posts.
