TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - East Java Police Chief Machmud Arifin said that the police have identified the names, addresses, and backgrounds of 11 suicide bombers of Surabaya and Sidoarjo on Sunday and Monday, May 13-14. Until now, only two more bodies were being identified, he added.

“One of them is somewhat difficult to identify because the condition is severe,” Machmud told the media on Tuesday, May 15. They were the bombers of the church on Jalan Ngagel Madya, Surabaya.

Machmud hopes the bodies will soon be handed over to their family unless if the families do not pick them up, the police will bury them. Of the 13 death tolls, one body has not been picked up by the family. 

In addition to the death toll, the 33 injured are currently being treated in several hospitals. 

A series of Surabaya bombings within three to five minutes interval occurred in three churches at Jalan Ngagel Madya, Jalan Diponegoro, and Jalan Arjuno. In the evening, a suicide bomb also exploded at flats in Wonocolo, Sidoarjo, and the next day it occurred at Surabaya Police HQ.
