TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi looked different today because he wore an Asian Games 2018 t-shirt which was edited to imitate the poster of the Avengers: Infinity Wars film.
The character's faces of "Avengers: Infinity Wars" in the shirt were replaced by the faces of national athletes such as Evan Dimas, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Kevin Sanjaya, and Lindswell Kwok. Imam Nahrawi’s face also replaced Thanos, complete with the Infinity Gauntlet.
The film title was also changed into Asian Games #AyoIndonesia Indonesia Juara.
“Yes, I was inspired by the film. This is such a creative film. It takes a lot of struggle and sacrifices with many actors and actresses involved,” said Imam, May 12.
Just like the "Avengers: Infinity Wars" film, to achieve success in organizing Asian Games 2018, Imam viewed that he needs to involve many parties.
The government hopes that the citizen will support the athletes who will compete in the game next August. “The athlete should be supported because they have their own roles to make Indonesia proud,” said Imam.
The politician also stated that the Avengers-themed Asian Games shirt is likely to promote and enliven the 8th Asian Games. Imam invites citizen to innovate and hone their creativity to promote the multi-sporting event.
This is not the first time a state official wearing an Asian Games-themed clothes. Previously, President Joko Widodo was seen wearing Asian Games-themed jacket.
In a meeting at the presidential office in Jakarta, the Creative Economy Agency Chair Triawan Munaf said that his office will create Asian Games-themed clothes for the ministers. It aims to intensify the promotion of the Asian Games to the society.
